Donald Trump recently took to Twitter to express his feelings regarding his current impeachment process and didn’t hold back one bit when it came to the shock factor (which is expected). Trump’s social media rants and tweets quickly became the type to attract national and worldwide attention and this time was clearly no different. Opinions came spewing in from numerous political figures when he compared his impeachment to a “lynching.”
“So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights, All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here — a lynching. But we will WIN!” stated Trump. Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Shaun King and Ayanna Pressley are just a few of the political figures that clap backed at Trump’s outrageous statement.
Harris said, “Lynching is a reprehensible stain on this nation’s history, as is this President. We’ll never erase the pain and drama of lynching, and to invoke that torture to whitewash your own corruption is disgraceful.” Booker said, “Lynching is an act of terror used to uphold white supremacy. Try again.”
Now, Donald Trump has said a multitude of things both prior to his presidential election and throughout his term that have left quite the sour taste in many Americans’ mouths as well as citizens in other countries. This is honestly just adding more fuel to an already out of control fire. Donald Trump and his irrational lynching comparison are CANCELLED.
His impeachment and the premise of lynching in this country’s history share absolutely no correlation at all and to publicly state this is insensible to say the least.
